Experiential Tech for AT&T's Store of the Future
Most people know AT&T as the phone company, and many of them come to AT&T retail stores for their phones, high-speed internet and TV. Despite their ubiquity and success, AT&T is always innovating, looking for new and better ways to serve their customers. To this end, the company maintains a number of working concept stores, dubbed “Stores of the Future.” Here, they show off their newest products and services using leading-edge technology. Since 2014, the team at YOU ARE HERE has been helping AT&T deliver on that vision. Spanning the Americas from San Francisco and Chicago to Mexico City, YOU ARE HERE delivers effective and exciting technology that wows retail customers.

Our approach
The “AT&T Drive simulator” is one of the most popular displays, pairing a beautiful curved 4K display with a touchscreen controller, all packed in a small footprint. The kiosk allows customers to tour their smart car future through an intuitive tablet interface that leads to ultra-high-resolution videos of smart car use cases, like a car unlocking your house when you return home, or making calls when you leave your phone at home. For AT&T’s “Flagship” store in Chicago, Illinois, YOU ARE HERE produced a 4-sided 3D hologram that touted the company’s “Digital Life” smart home services. A truly striking display, highly polished glass made a house appear to float in mid-air as customers watched various home automation stories come to life. An accompanying tablet controlled the action. |
