Sales Support App for AT&T GigaPower

Our need for high-speed internet has grown dramatically, yet many households haven’t kept up. Connections that seemed more than ample just a few years ago are now painfully inadequate and frustrating.  Enter AT&T - their “GigaPower” service brings speeds of up to 1,000Mbps to many homes in the U.S.  However, customers may not fully understand their own needs for higher speeds, and the higher price may put them off.  AT&T hired YOU ARE HERE to design and develop a sales tool that would educate consumers about why they need high-speed Internet access

Our approach
We designed a lightweight simulation of a house’s bandwidth needs. The user could choose the size of their home, along with some basics about their family. Once the virtual house was set, the user could choose common Internet apps or tasks to model their own family’s use: video streaming, cloud backups, online gaming, and more. Quickly users could see how their 2Mbps or 5Mbps connections from a couple of years ago could no longer keep up. Users could tune the tasks and the connection speed to get a better idea which GigaPower product was right for them.
Results
Customers found friendly education through the GigaPower tablet app, enabling AT&T to confidently recommend the service to customers.
